August 24th 79 A.D. One of biggest tragedies of the mankind was for sure the one dating back to august 24th 79 A.D., when nine villages located at the foot of Mount Vesuvius got buried under an enormous quantity of ash, pumice stones, lava and mud. Even the shape of the crater changed a lot because of the explosion, but the volcano is still there, active and attractive, fertile and fatal, mysteriously impressive….
We recommend to use: comfortable walking shoes ,camera, hat and sun cream. 

Entrance fees:
Mt.Vesuvius (crater) 6,50 Euro - Herculaneum Excavation 11,00 Euro.
Entrance fees may change every year.
Free entrance Excavation for under 18’s over 65’s being part of the European Community.
