FAQ

What is the difference between a tour guide and a tour driver?

A tour guide has attended school to learn all about the sites you will see and he/she has license, usually issue by the City hall or the Region where they live. A guide is allowed to go into the history. Its service is separated from the driver cost.
A tour driver is not licensed, he/she didn’t attend any specific school, therefore he/she is not allowed to go inside the site telling you about the history. He/she will inform you about the most important things of all the sites you are going to visit but once on the spot you have to go in by yourself.

Do I get the requested driver/guide?

We schedule the driver, who was maybe suggested by one of your friends. Anyway, if this doesn’t happen, we are sure you’ll be satisfied with any other driver we’ll  assign to you, because they are all trained to be friendly and informative.

For which tours a licensed guide is recommended?

A licensed guide is recommended for all the archaeological tours, for visiting museums and churches and, logistically speaking, for the tours to Capri and Ischia, where it is quite complicated to move by yourself.

How can I book a service? Can I do it on-line?

You have to complete our “reservation form” on – line or, in alternative, we need a written order by mail. Payments will be charged at the end of your service according to quoted rates. We only accept cash and T/C’s in Euro.

How much should we tip the driver? Is the tip included in the quote?

Tip is not included in the quote. Gratuities are not mandatory in Italy, however, if you have been happy with their services, the driver should receive a tip as a token appreciation.

How can we locate our driver upon arrival?

Your driver/guide will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall of the airport, upon exit of customs, holding up a sign stating your name and your destination.
The transfer with Pick Up at the Airport includes 1 hour wait. Any additional time will be charged at the standard hourly rate, which is 25 euro for sedans and 35 euro for minivans or minibuses. In case you lose your luggage please come outside to advise your driver so that he doesn’t leave without you, and you don’t incur any extra cost. The customs police will allow you to re-enter the lost and found zone.
You driver/guide will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall of the train station, at the beginning of the track, when your train arrives, holding up a sign stating your name and your destination. The transfer with Pick Up at the train station includes 30 minutes wait.
Any additional time will be charged at the standard hourly rate (see above at the Airport Pick Up).
Nb: Clients traveling to the Naples train Station: PLEASE GET OFF THE TRAIN AT NAPLES CENTRALE (ALSO KNOWN AS A PIAZZA GARIBALDI), we will wait for you there.
If you have difficulty locating your chauffeur, please call us at 00393394493910 (Ester).

Can we stop during the transfer for local tour?

If you are picking you up from pick up locations for a transfer to/from the airport and you request our chauffeur to provide stops or other pick-ups on the way, our fare will change. Please ask to our office or your chauffeur for the extra charge you could incur. Rates may change ONLY if the passenger requests the chauffeur to wait or to do extra stops or pick-ups.

Are the price per person?

NO. The price are per van, not per person. It means that if you are from 1 to 8 you will always pay the same price.

How much is the service quoted in Euro going in US Dollars?

It depends on the exchange rate of that day
i.e. today exchange rate is: 1.00 EURO (EUR) = 1.45 US DOLLAR (USD)
Tour = 350 x 1.45 = 507, USD

I didn’t see your e-mail yet! Why?

We replay to your e-mail within 12-24 hours maximum. In case you do not get a reply within this time, please give us a call to double check.

Do the kids pay in the archaeological areas/churches/museum?

If you belong to the European Community and you are under 18 or over 65 year old you get a free entrance ticket to all the public museums and archaeological areas by showing your PASSPORT at the ticket office. If you don’t belong to the European Community, everybody pays. If the museums /churches are private ones, everybody pays as well.
